“Construction Completed at Debby’s Diner and All RV Needs”

Grand Opening Scheduled for Thursday, March 15th 9:30am

Phoenix, OR, (March 12, 2012) – Batzer Construction recently completed the much anticipated buildings for Debby’s Diner and All RV Needs located on Hwy 99 just North of Phoenix. Both businesses are currently setting up for a Grand Opening planned for 9:30am Thursday, March 15th.
Batzer Construction began construction in September of last year. Originally the site had been intended to be an exclusive RV service facility, but when Debby’s Diner needed to relocate from its current facility the Hwy 99 option quickly became an ideal site for their new family restaurant.   Debby’s Diner has a loyal clientele of families, community members, hot rod clubs, motorcycle riders, local fire departments and regular customers that are excited to have additional room to gather at the new location.
The new Debby’s Diner was designed by Batzer’s Gary Caperna, AIA and Mark McKechnie, AIA of Oregon Architecture, Inc., as a nostalgic 1950’s diner. Caperna carefully designed the diner to fit a 12 foot vintage 1910 soda fountain that was once housed in the old Jacksonville pharmacy.  Design elements of the new diner include classic chrome details, a checkerboard floor and the familiar “Happy Day” style jukebox. According to Debby Hartnell, owner of Debby’s Diner, this is an exciting event. “We are thrilled to be able to share the new restaurant with our wonderful customers as well as the entire community. It is our dream that Debby’s Diner will be a place where memories will be made for families who live or visit our area!”  Hartnell doesn’t serve alcohol and plans to maintain a family focused gathering place for the community. Included in the design of the new diner is dedicated space reserved for parties and performances. The outdoor seating patio will double seating capacity and provide an entirely new space for guests to enjoy during the warm weather.
Debby’s Diner Grand Opening is scheduled for Thursday, March 15th. Included in the events will be members from The Rogue Valley Hot Rod Club, Southern Oregon Street Rods, the Corvette Club and the vintage Umpqua Ice Cream Truck (making sure the soda fountain is well stocked) and a sighting of “Elvis” is expected.   Festivities begin at 9:30am with a duel ribbon cutting ceremony, Phoenix Chamber of Commerce will start off the event while the Medford/Jackson Chamber will have their moment at 10:15.  Next door, All RV Needs will be showing off their state-of-the-art RV repair and customization shop throughout the day.

All RV Needs was designed as a steel building with three service bays that have the width to accommodate the dual popout style of RV’s. The facility will provide a high-end professional experience that hasn’t been offered in the area before.
According to Russ Batzer, President of Batzer Construction, “Both of these businesses have such passion for what they do; it’s been a pleasure to help make their dreams become a reality.  And I know the entire community will enjoy the fun atmosphere that Debby’s Dinner and All RV Needs provides.”
The media and community are invited to attend the Grand Opening Ceremonies.
